Instrucciones para usar los Recursos del VCLA
Ya hemos puesto bajo Syllabi and Schedules (Silabos y Programas) un documento llamado "Una Introduccion a los Recursos de la Red del VCLA" donde encontrara instrucciones para recibir acceso a los recursos del VCLA y para usarlos , ademas de informacion de a quien contactar para pedir ayuda cuando la necesite.

Instructions for Using VCLA Resources
We have now added under Syllabi and Schedules a document called "An Introduction to VCLA Web Resources" where you will find instructions for getting access to and using the VCLA resources plus information on who to contact to get help when needed.

Discussion Board Notes
We encourage you to use the discussion board for: academic and research purposes, to ask questions of instructors and peers, provide constructive criticism and comments on the work of others, network with students and researchers worldwide, and for discussion of topics of interest and relevance. To avoid clutter and confusion, please refrain from discussion of irrelevant subjects on this board. You should also be aware that everything you write on the discussion board will be read by an array of students and instructors of diverse backgrounds at a number of institutions. This is a shared resource, so please be respectful of others and use your judgment (don't post anything that you would not feel comfortable saying in a classroom or other public setting).
When you first log into the Discussion Board, please create a wiki page as a user profile. Including your name, some background information, research interests, and a picture if available. Add a link to your page in the "People" section of the wiki, so everyone can view your information.
When you post messages to the VLL Discussion Board, be sure to save yourself a copy locally (on your hard drive or portable storage). If you are posting larger projects and homework assignments, complete them with word-processing software, save locally, then insert into your post using the "Attach a file" (paperclip) button. If you wish to make a backup copy of a shorter post or comment, copy and paste the desired contents into a word file and save the file locally.

Sobre el Tablero de Discusion
Lo invitamos a que utilice el tablero de discusion: con propositos academicos y de investigacion; para hacerle preguntas al instructor y a sus companeros; para hacer criticas constructivas y comentarios sobre el trabajo de otros; para conectarse con estudiantes e investigadores en todo el mundo; y para discutir temas de interes y relevancia. Para evitar desorden y confusion, por favor abstengase de discutir temas irrelvantes en el tablero. Tambien tenga en mente que todo lo que escriba en el tablero de discusion sera leido por una gama de estudiantes e instructores de distintos origenes y de varias instituciones. Este es un recurso compartido, asi que por favor respete a los otros y use su buen juicio (no escriba nada que no se sentiria comodo diciendo en un salon de clase o en otro lugar publico).
Cuando entre al tablero de discusion por primera vez, por favor cree una pagina wiki como su perfil de usuario. Incluya su nombre, alguna informacion sobre usted, sus intereses de investigacion, y una fotografia si la tiene. Incluya un enlace (link) a su pagina en la seccion "People" ("Gente") del wiki, para que todos puedan ver su informacion.
Cuando escriba mensajes en el tablero de discusion del portal VLL, asegurese de guardar una copia personal local (en un disco duro o un disco de almacenamiento portatil). Si lo que esta escribiendo son proyectos mas extensos o tareas, completelas primero en Word, guardelas localmente e insertelas en su mensaje usando el boton "Attach a File" ("Adjuntar un Archivo"), el cual tiene la forma de un sujetapapeles. Si desea hacer una copia de un escrito o comentario mas corto, copie y pegue el contenido deseado en un archivo de Word y guardelo localmente.
